Pizarro Vows To Be Stamford Bridge Star
The 28-year-old Peruvian has arrived from Bayern Munich on a free transfer, but while his striker counterparts cost more than £55m between them he is adamant that he can become the number one at Stamford Bridge.
"I am not here to be substitute for Drogba," said Pizarro.
"My dream is to be the No.1 striker at Chelsea. I'm not scared about having rivals for my place.
"Drogba and Andrei Shevchenko are superstars but Claudio Pizarro is not lame and I will compete with them."
It has been deemed that Pizarro has been signed to take the place of Drogba while the Ivory Coast striker is away at the African Nations Cup during the forthcoming season.
